"Childbirth is one of life’s most marvelous, miraculous experiences. Giving birth is not only about having babies; it’s also about motherhood. In the same light, sharing birth stories is not only about providing or collecting information; it’s also about community." ~Tamara Parnay
As a mother, there is nothing more powerful than circling with other mothers, and sharing your birth story. It gives you the opportunity to truly be heard as you recount your triumphs and tragedies, celebrations and set-backs. It also provides you with a unique opportunity to hold space for other mothers, and give them the gift of being heard. So often we move so very quickly from birth to the routine of motherhood that we never have the opportunity to process, honor, and move beyond our birthing day. Birth story circles create space and time for mothers to close their birth experiences with reverence and ceremony.
Our birth story circles provide space for women to:
- Enjoy an afternoon of sisterhood
- Be heard. Share as much as you want to without interruption.
- Empathize, support and validate one another while connecting through understanding and honoring.
- Healthy snacks and beverages
- Small handcrafted gift
